This collection is composed primarily of correspondence, as well as committee lists, budget records, newspaper clippings, press releases, speeches, and photographs. The collection documents the activities of Director of the Los Angeles County Museum, James H. Breasted, Jr. from 1946-1951 and incldues correspondence regarding exhibitions policies and planning, Hancock Park, habitat group reports, wartime emergency plans, and the 1948 UNESCO conference.
